On this journey we’ll take you through three regions of India (Delhi, Agra & Rajasthan), guiding you through ancient temples, magical landscapes, and culinary discoveries. We’ll take you back to the ages of Maharajahs and Sultans, chase sunsets and sunrises in some of India’s most significant places with a culmination at the Holi festival of colours.

So forget everything you think you know about the world and dive in headfirst to embrace the culture that is coming your way. The experience you’re about to live will burn bright in your memories for a long time.

Day 1

Welcome to New Delhi or Delhi for friends, India’s bustling capital city. India is sure to deliver a cultural shock, so today we don’t have any activities planned. We’ll provide transfer to get you from the airport to our accommodation where you can rest and recover from the long journey and start to acclimatise to a new way of being for the duration of your trip.

Day 2

Rise and shine bright and early as we’re kicking of our trip by visiting Yamuna Ghat at dawn to witness a majestic gathering of hundreds of seagulls flocking to feed. It’s a majestic sight that can’t be missed. We’ll continue the day visiting the largest spice market in Asia, braving the crowds of Delhi and finishing the day with a visit to the Lotus Temple at sunset.

Day 3

Today we’re making our way to Agra, home of the majestic Taj Mahal, the greatest token of love the world has ever seen. We’ll spend the day exploring the Taj from all sides as this is a structure that deserves to be seen from all it’s awe inspiring angles. We’ll continue onto Emperor Akhbar’s tomb another important Mughal masterpiece, we’ll sample some local delicacies and end the day watching the sunset in the Mehtab Gardens while glancing at the Taj one last time.

Day 4

Back on the road today as we’re headed to Vindravan. We’ll be there just in time for the Holi celebrations taking place the next day. We’ll visit authentic temples and learn about some of the stories and legends of the Festival of Colours. Finish the day off in a local market, sampling delicious food before heading back to our accommodation for a games night.

Day 5

We’ll spend the morning at Banke Bihari Temple in the heart of the celebrations. Make sure you pack clothes that can be stained, some eye protection and get ready for an explosion of colours. Don’t be afraid to participate as you’ll most certainly come out looking like a rainbow child. After lunch and having had a chance to recover from the excitements of the morning, we’ll start our onward journey to the pink city Jaipur and catch the sunset on the road.

Day 6

Wake up in Jaipur, the Capital city of Rajasthan. We’re spending the day at the Amer fort, where we’ll have breakfast and spend the majority of the time exploring all its halls, courtyards, gardens and markets. No visit to Jaipur would be complete without a stop at Hawa Mahal, the jewel of the pink city. We’ll end at the Choki Dhani village where you can experience the local Rajasthan culture and taste the amazing traditional cuisine of the region.

Day 7

Dress to impress today as in true Wind Collective style we’ll be taking you around some of the most epic and instagrammable spots of the region. Our resident photographers and videographers will be on hand to capture your best angles. Today’s sunset location will be at Nahargarh fort where you’ll get an unparalleled view of Jaipur as the sun disappears down the horizon for another day. Tonight we’re back on the road and make our way to our final destination of the trip.

Day 8

Welcome to Udaipur. We’re up early to catch the sun again as it rises above Lake Badi, a man made fresh water lake created in the 17th century to counter the devastating effects of a drought that hit the area. We’ll visit the city palace in Udaipur and spend the rest of the day chilling around the lake.

Day 9

Choose your own adventure Today is all up to you. Feel free to just chill at the hotel, explore the local market, shop for souvenirs or whatever your heart fancies. This is your well deserved day of relaxation after the whirlwind and excitement of the journey.

Day 10

Today we’ll fly back to Delhi bright and early so you can catch your flight home as sadly all good things must come to an end.
