Day 1
Akwaba - Welcome - Today, you arrive in the motherland.  You will be picked up by our team at the Airport the Certified Africa way.   Settle in, relax and enjoy the new environment.  Tonight we will have our special Welcome dinner with some Ghanaian invites and returnees. We will dine, network and dance in preparation for the journey ahead.

Day 2
Afrochella Festival VIP - Wake up and enjoy your buffet breakfast and prepare for the season's major event; Afrochella with VIP access.

Day 3
Free Day - Wake up with your breakfast buffet ready to go. Today, you call the shots on how you spend the day. Be the African you and move like a local. You may decide to go shopping at the biggest mall in the city or go swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. For those who enjoy artwork, you may want to check out some of the city's best galleries. We recommend you try the local transport (trotro). You may go Chocolate tasting for Ghana's finest cocoa. Don't forget to try one of Accra's staple dishes; Banku and Tilapia accompanied by a bottle of chilled Orijin. Finish off the day with the night life experience of your choice.

Day 4
Kumasi - Kumasi is located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Enjoy a day learning about the great works of Osei Tutu I, Okofomo Anokye, and the Ashanti Empire as it will serve as an introduction to Kumasi. 
  • Manhyia Ashanti King Palace (The Seat and official residence of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II)
  • King Prempeh Museum 
  • Okomfo Anokye’s Sword site (The site where the chief priest of the Ashanti Kingdom placed a sword in the ground and no one has been able to pull it out)

Day 6
Slave Dungeons & Kakum National Park - Today, we journey to the central region to visit the Cape Coast slave castle where it all began. We will experience the horror of the dungeons where  slaves were kept to await the ships.  After, we will pass through the "door of no return" where slaves exited and left their homeland. Today, the "door of no return" has been commemorated as the "door of return" to await the descendants of those who were forcefully taken. We will have an official welcome home ceremony here. We will also visit the Kakum National Park. Kakum is a preserved rain forest with a canopy walkway that is suspended 30 meters above the ground on tree tops.  We will spend the night in Cape Coast.

Day 7
New Year's Eve Experience - We will spend the early part of the day traveling to Accra from Cape Coast. You can have some rest in preparation for the NYE experience. Later that night we will welcome in the New Year as a group.

Day 8
Free Day & Night Party -  Today you can take the day to rest or use as you wish. Later in the night, we will have a group night out in the heart of the City. Make sure you get your party groove going!

Day 9
Business Seminar -  Today, we will have a seminar that dives into Ghana's business space and discuss some investment opportunities available. We will also hear the stories of some business people that have succeeded in their fields and the lessons learnt. You will have your questions and concerns about doing business in Africa addressed. This will be followed by an intentional networking session to meet other entrepreneurs in the country to build potential business connections. The night is yours to use as you wish.

Day 10
Departure - You can do some last minute shopping today. Today, you depart from the mother land, but not for long. Nante yiye! Yɛbɛhyia bio (Go well! we shall meet again).

Payment Plans are by request only & all travelers must email to set one up after making a deposit. Travelers must pay the trip in full by October 30.

  • Trip deposit is non - refundable.
  • Any cancellations will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of other monies paid plus the cost to wire refund in order to cover Certified Africa’s administrative costs.
  • All monies paid within 90 days of departure date, 70% of payment is non-refundable. 
  • All monies paid within 60 days of departure date, 100% of payment is non-refundable.
  • All balances will be due 30 days before the trip date.
